Comprehensive Septic System Inspections You Can Trust

We provide a wide range of septic system inspections and diagnostics tailored to both residential and commercial customers. Our services encompass a thorough septic system diagnostic and assessment, using cutting-edge tools such as a mini excavator and fiber-optic camera, enabling a comprehensive analysis of the entire system. Home buyers and sellers usually choose our less intrusive camera inspection of the tank, inlet and outlet pipe, distribution box and drain field surface.

Each inspection is accompanied by a detailed written report containing pertinent photos, emailed the following business day. Our inspections are highly regarded by realtors, lenders, engineers, and local building departments and inspectors. With a standard lead time of just 2 business days, scheduling a camera inspection or diagnostic is convenient. Protect yourself from unexpected expenses by ensuring your system undergoes thorough inspection. Contact us today for a comprehensive septic system inspection that goes beyond the minimum standards.

Why Should Home Buyers Get a Septic Inspection?

  • A septic system is one of the largest and most expensive systems in a home, and it is almost completely hidden underground.
  • Septic systems have a limited lifespan. A typical septic system lasts approximately 25 years before it requires replacement or major repairs.
  • A conventional septic system, for a 3 bedroom home, costs $15,000 - $30,000 to build.
  • Difficult soil conditions or limited property space can require specialized systems, which can double this price.
  • People often buy a home, raise a family and then live in the home as "empty nesters" for several more years before they put the house on the market. By that time (20+ years) the septic system is often on its last leg, but it isn't obvious because only 2 people have been using it.
  • You do not want to be the family that moves in and finds out they have an unexpected $30,000 septic system replacement expense.

Why Should Home Sellers Get a Septic System Inspection?

  • Many septic system problems can be corrected, without a complete septic system replacement.
  • Most potential home buyers will have a septic inspection performed on your property.
  • Knowing what condition your system is in, and correcting any problems beforehand, can help avoid misunderstandings and costly renegotiations.

What Kind of Septic Inspection Should I Get?

Home buyers and sellers usually choose our camera inspection. We expose and open the septic tank lids (hand digging, if needed) and inspect the tank, baffles, inlet pipe, and the outlet pipe up to the first distribution box (if possible). We also perform a flow test, and probe and inspect the surface of the leach field or seepage pit. Any holding tanks are inspected if accessible without machine digging. Pumps and control panels, if present, are operated briefly to confirm functionality.

We also offer the option of having the septic tank pumped and lines hydro-jetted to enable more thorough inspection.

We require the home owner or their agent to authorize us to perform the inspection, by signing this form Septic Inspection Authorization Form.

If you have recurring problems or if your yard is wet or smelly in the leach field area, we recommend the complete system diagnostic. This usually takes about 2 - 3 hours and gives you a complete picture of your septic system, including the materials it is made of and their condition, as well as the system's estimated efficiency and life expectancy. We provide a quote to repair any issues or a referral to an engineer for redesign or replacement. If repairs are possible, we can usually do them the same day, which saves you money, because we do not have to cover everything and return another day.

When performing the diagnostic, we use a mini excavator to expose parts of the septic system, perform a flow test and a pipe camera inspection of the inlet and outlet pipe, distribution boxes, leach field laterals or seepage pit. We also check any holding tanks or pump chambers and verify the operation of any pumps, floats and control systems.

If wastewater is backing up into your home, even after pumping and clearing your septic tank, we recommend a flow test to isolate the location of the problem and a camera inspection to determine the cause. Then we can provide a quote for the repair or replacement of the defective component.

If wastewater is backing up in a septic or sewer pipe, even after it has been snaked or hydro-jetted, we recommend a camera inspection to determine the cause and location of the problem. Then we can provide a quote for the repair or replacement of the defective pipe.

The guys who came out were very friendly and did a great job. They were very responsive when we had a question and took care of everything quickly. I would definitely recommend their services.
